People of Mercy Association is a non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian support in areas such as education, health, and social protection. Established in 2017 by dedicated volunteers, PoM aims to protect the rights and dignity of vulnerable populations through transparent, neutral, and impactful action.
PoM was established in 2017 by a group of volunteers with experience dating back to 2006 in the humanitarian field. The association was created to respond to the needs of vulnerable populations inside and outside Syria.
Our mission is to provide humanitarian assistance that alleviates suffering and promotes human rights, especially for marginalized and at-risk communities.
Our values include humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence. We are committed to ethical, effective, and efficient humanitarian action through collaboration, transparency, and continued improvement.
Non-Formal Education: Primary and intermediate level courses in math, physics, chemistry, science, Arabic, and English.
Activities for Students: Outdoor education, music, dance, and emotional development programs.
Courses in tailoring, hairdressing, beauty, phone/computer maintenance, ICDL, English, electric wiring, cooking, nursing.
Outpatient & Inpatient care, surgeries, chronic medication, birth delivery, medical tests, devices (wheelchairs, hearing aids, etc.).
Food parcels, hygiene kits, baby kits, cash for rent, winter items (blankets, heaters), nutrition awareness sessions.
Individual and group therapy sessions for children, mothers, and other vulnerable groups.
Events such as International Women’s Day, World Humanitarian Day, World Children’s Day, and more.
Trainings in stress management, communication, and time management for staff and volunteers.
